The Seltos comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 146 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. While the SX trim has a similar look, it features an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 195 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. This same engine comes standard on the X-Line. The 2.0-liter engine is standard on the Seltos LX, S and EX, while the Seltos X-Line and SX trims get the 1.6-liter engine.
The new Seltos can drive up to 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway with the 2.0-liter engine and front-wheel drive. Since the 1.6-liter option comes standard with all-wheel drive, its fuel economy drops some, providing up to 25 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
Interior
Thanks to a windshield that absorbs sounds, the Seltos has a quiet cabin that helps you focus on your drive and passengers. With the addition of privacy glass, this SUV also stops others from peering inside. A 12-volt port near the driver's seat gives you power on the go. You get 26.6 cubic feet of storage space in the SUV's cargo hold, but when you fold the rear seats, you get more than 62 cubic feet of cargo room. Kia gives you various options you can add to the new Seltos like a Smart Power Tailgate and heated and ventilated front seats.
Tech
You can monitor your speed, tire pressure and much more via the 4.2-inch instrument display on the dash. You also get an 8.0-inch touchscreen display that gives you access to your smartphone's apps as you drive around Ramsey, NJ with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. It's easy to upgrade both of these displays to 10.25-inch displays for both your instrument panel and touchscreen.
Safety
